Whistling Bird is a unique island resort with a mature, exotic and lush landscape. Cottages throughout the property are dispersed and nestled amongst the tropical gardens into separate private settings. All cottages are unique in their own way but all have been designed to create a genuine jamaican experience for our guests. All cottages have been named after different Jamaican birds such as “ Nightingale” or “Parakeet.” Cottages are available in a 1 room, 2 room or a 3 room. Housekeeping daily as well as free wifi. As you step inside your cottage you are invited by an exclusive and uncommon architecture and an extensive use of wood and local art. Many of these cottage rooms are in the shape of an octagon and have hard wood floors. Other designs include vaulted ceilings with cupola as well as large “A” frame doorways. Cottages with a Veranda are also available . Butterfly windows allow a humid breeze and the scent of tropical flowers to fill the air. Oversized walk in shower are reminiscent of natural rain or a waterfall setting. In the overall design of the various cottages, natural recourses have been incorporated including Bamboo, rock, and Native woods. The design is natural and also fresh and decorative.

    Whistling Bird restaurant and bar is located seaside on the resort. This is a wonderful place to come and relax with an island beverage and enjoy the beautiful beach and sea breeze. The dining is excellent, one of the best places to eat in Negril, and serves authentic Jamaican style cuisine. Coconut chicken is a speciality but it doesn’t stop there. Jamaican Rock Lobster, Steam Fish or any entree item on our menu is surely divine. We have been featured in Gourmet magazine and Islands magazine. Whistling Bird’s restaurant is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Every morning, fresh Blue Mountain coffee is ready and available at the bar. Blue Mountain Coffee is one of the trademarks of Jamaica and it is really good - a taste of Jamaica.
